Is the reading really free?
Yes. Every guide, glossary entry, and deep dive on the shelves is free to read. Only the guided study program and commissioned research are paid, because those set a guide's time aside for you.
Do I need to know how to code before the study program?
Not much. We expect you to know what an account and a transaction are, which you can pick up from the free guides. The program itself is for readers who can read the docs but stall at the first program. If you are completely new, we will suggest the free reading first and the program later.
How much time does the program take each week?
Plan for about four to six hours: one hour for the session, two to three for the reading, and an hour or two for the project. Readers who give it less tend to stall; readers who give it more finish early.
Can I take the sessions from outside Korea?
Yes. Sessions are held by video at a time we agree in advance, so the time zone is up to you. If you are in Seoul, you are also welcome to come to the reading room for office hours.
What if I cannot make a session?
Tell us in advance and we will offer one alternative time for that session. Beyond one reschedule, the session is counted as taken, because the guide's time is held open for you. The full terms are on the refund page.
Do you give financial advice?
No. We explain how the chain works; we do not tell you what to buy, hold, or delegate to. If a piece of reading touches on money, it is about how the mechanism works, not what you should do with yours.
How often is the library updated?
Roughly every two weeks a new piece lands on the shelves. Subscribers to the reading list hear first. The glossary grows as the guides do, so a new term usually arrives with the guide that uses it.
Can I commission a guide on a topic you do not cover?
Yes. Commissioned research is quoted by the piece. Tell us the topic and what you are trying to do, and we will send a written quote before any work begins. See the reading rates page for starting prices.
